For those who are interested, I recently ran across a unique and very study tool. It is called the Apostolic Bible. If you are interested in an interlinear Greek & English copy of the Septuagint, this is the only one I know of online. And right now it’s freely available to download in PDF format (all 2000+ pages). They are currently in the process of printing hard copies of the Bible, which will be for sale upon completion. The cool thing about it is, the downloadable PDFs are identical to the printed version. They are the actual files that are being used for the printed copies. The only thing better you could have asked for is an html version. I don’t know how long the downloadable versions will be available, so if you’re interested you might want to take advantage of this soon.

Thanks, Aaron

I wanted to say a special thanks to Aaron Eby of the band Arba Minim for allowing me to use his incredibly cool javascript function to quickly link to Scripture passages on the Unbound Bible site. He wrote the code and I asked him if I could use it on my site. He was gracious enough to allow me the privilege. (more…)

Welcome to the new blog. Though you may not notice a ton of difference, there has been quite a bit of changes. The biggest one is the switch from Blogger to WordPress. This will give me much more flexibility and allow visitors to find articles much easier, since they are arranged categorically. There are many things still left “undone.” However, (Bezrat Hashem) they will all be taken care of soon. Some things that are still on my “to do” list are:

  • Create functional site navigation outside of the blog
  • Fix the “Judaism” category link (it’s whacko)
  • Make the rest of the site match the blog
  • Finish categorizing my posts

Please let me know if you run into any problems! There are bound to be some in making this transition.

Today should be a very happy day, but unfortunately it is filled with grief.

Yesterday was my youngest son’s second birthday. We drove back to NW AR this morning so that all of our family could get together to celebrate his birthday. Although it was still a day to bless him for the coming year, today was largely filled with sadness. Today my sister-in-law had a miscarriage. Not only did she have a miscarriage, but my sister had one less than two weeks ago. It seems out of sorts that they should happen back-to-back like this, and it saddens us to no end. My wife and I have wept many tears, and would ask that you remember our family in your prayers over the days and weeks ahead.

Well, I’ve kept my same host, but they’ve moved my site to a different server and it seems to be working very nicely now. Please let me know if you notice any pages missing that I need to republish that may have got lost in the shuffle.
